Catholic Schools Week

We were delighted to welcome Dua Besan and Hala to our school during Catholic Schools Week .
They are here on a scholarship from Gaza and studying in Mary I.
Dua left her husband and 2 children to try make some money to send back to them .They are living in tents, without a safe or proper place to stay. Her children do not eat well, and her husband currently has no work. They have lost their homes, their jobs everything …..she has also lost several students she used to teach.
The same is true for Hala’s family. They are also living in a tent, under extremely harsh conditions, struggling every day just to survive.
We, and the 5th and 6th year students, were truly humbled by their stories.
