German Exchange to Bonn

In December, a group of 7 students from St Clement’s College travelled to Bonn, Germany to participate in an exchange with our partner Redemptorist College CoJoBo. We stayed with a host family and were immersed in the German culture for a week. During the week we went to school, visited the cities of Bonn and Cologne, went to Phantasialand Themepark, saw the Christmas Markets, ate German food and spoke as much German as we could. Overall, we had an amazing experience which brought the learning of German alive.  We met so many new people, experienced first-hand the German education system, sampled lots of German food and had our eyes opened to a different culture. We are now looking forward to the second leg of the trip when the students from CoJoBo come to Limerick in February. Plans for the week are well underway knowing that we have to match their experience to what we received in Germany!
