School Day at St. Clement’s Redemptorist College, Limerick

Dear Parents, Students, Past Students, and the greater Community.

It gives me great pleasure to address you all from our Web Site. We have successfully established ourselves in the new school and we are all delighted with the modern facilities  At present there are 460 boys attending St. Clement’s College and we envisage that this number will increase in the years ahead.

The original St. Clement’s was opened in 1884; the next St. Clement’s commenced in 1935 and we move on to our new site in August 2008. We, in St. Clement’s pride ourselves on our deep conviction to education i.e. an education that supports and helps all students to promote their academic, personal and spiritual development.

The relationship between teachers and students is unique to the College and this in turn fosters a sincere, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The College is privileged to have the support and involvement of the Redemptorists, this support manifests itself in many ways e.g. chaplaincy, pastoral care, membership of the Board of Management and regular visits from the Redemptorist Community.

We bring to the new College our proud sporting tradition. The college involves itself in many sports including Rugby, Soccer, Hurling, Football, Basketball and Badminton.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have made St. Clement’s what it is today and my final wish is that we not only take what has been handed on to us but that we will build on it and make it stronger.

Regards

Vincent Foley
